Dr. Sam Howard Rumley Actuarial Science Legacy Scholarship

The Scholarship Fund shall provide one annual scholarship of $5,000.00; $2,500.00 per semester, to an academically qualified and/or deserving undergraduate student of junior status majoring in actuarial science, business analytics, statistics or mathematics in The Peter J. Tobin College of Business, preference given to a student who identifies as a member of historically underrepresented groups. The recipient(s) of the Scholarships shall be selected by the University’s Office of Student Financial Services or its successor. The criteria used in determining the recipients will be based upon enrollment status of a junior, with an overall G.P.A. of 3.0 or more and a major concentration G.P.A. of 3.0 or more. Candidates must complete an essay answering the prompt, “as an actuary or business professional, how will you make a difference?” This scholarship is renewable.
