Frank J. Coppa Endowed Scholarship in History

The Scholarship Fund shall provide one or more partial annual scholarships to academically qualified graduate students studying history, beginning in the first full University fiscal year after the minimum funding level of $50,000 has been reached. If for any reason the minimum funding level is not reached on or before December 31, 2025, the University will convert the Scholarship Fund to the Dr. Frank Coppa History Expendable Fund. The recipient(s) of the Scholarships shall be selected by the Chair of the History Department in consultation with the University?s Office of Student Financial Services or its successor. The criteria used in determining the recipients shall be based upon need and/or scholastic achievement, with first preference given to doctoral students pursing advanced candidacy, in the Public History Program. Additional support can be provided to high need history students at the undergraduate level, based upon the funding available annually.
