Synchrony Scholarship Fund

The Scholarship Fund was established in 2020 by Synchrony Foundation,to provide one or more partial annual scholarships to undergraduate students with a grade point average (G.P.A.) of 3.5 or greater (high school transcript average of 88% or greater). The Scholarship Fund shall provide scholarship support to students who require assistance paying their remaining charges for tuition and fees after other University awards and financial assistance have been applied. Scholarships shall be in the amount of up to $2,500 per student (amounts may vary based upon the investment income available each year for awarding). The recipient(s) of the scholarship shall be selected by the University?s Office of Student Financial Services or its successor, with preference given to students from historically underrepresented populations in higher education. The criteria used in determining the recipients shall be based upon demonstrated financial need and Pell Grant eligiblity status. Scholarship(s) may be renewed if the recipient(s) continues to satisfy the award criteria and remains in good academic and disciplinary standing at the University.
