Bridie and Charles Fitzsimons Endowed Scholarship Fund

This fund was established in 2002 by Adrian P. Fitzsimons, Ph.D., former Chair of the Department of Accounting and Taxation, in honor of his parents. This fund is to provide one or more partial annual scholarships to academically qualified and/or deserving students within The Peter J. Tobin College of Business who meet the following criteria: a) fifth year in the BS/MS accountancy program—accounting or taxation, b) fifth year student in the BS/MBA public accounting program, c) any student pursuing an MS in accountancy or taxation, d) any student pursuing an MBA in public accounting, controllership or taxation. Preference will be given to students who have obtained their undergraduate degrees at St. John?s University or at another college or university that has an articulation agreement with the Department of Taxation. Recipients of the Scholarship are to be known as the ?Accounting Faculty Scholars.?
