Joseph H. and Maria C. Schwartz Endowed Chair

The Joseph H. and Maria C. Schwartz Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2016 to support the growth and academic standing of The Peter J. Tobin College of Business (TCB). Upon the fifth anniversary of this endowment a review TCB’s ranking scores will be provided to the grantors. If the Business School has achieved ranking of the top 75 or greater the income will support the newly named Schwartz Endowed Chair. If the ranking is below 75 then the income will support the Schwartz Scholarship Fund. The criteria used in determining the recipients of the Schwartz Scholarship Fund, shall be based upon high scholastic achievement, community service and financial need. Preference is given to alumni of San Miguel School of Providence, RI and the San Miguel network of Schools. Scholarships shall be dispersed annually for a four year period so long as the award criterion is being met.
