Anna and Roque Martin Professorship in Finance

This fund was established in 2024 as the Dr. Anna D. Martin Research Fund and renamed the Anna and Roque Martin Professorship in Finance in 2025. The Fund shall provide support to Tobin finance faculty with high quality finance publications (noted in industry recognized external rankings). The Professorship is intended to support and reinforce the principles of free market capitalism as well as help lead the efforts of the Finance Department to provide applied and experiential co-curricular learning opportunities, such as those currently provided in the Tobin Applied Finance Fellows Program or its successor. The recipient of the Professorship shall be selected by the Dean of The Peter J. Tobin College of Business. Funding from the Professorship shall include:
a. Salary supplement of $15,000.00 (award amounts may increase based upon the annual income available).
b. Or one course reduction and a research stipend in the amount of $5,000.00 (award amounts may increase based upon the annual income available).
In any given year where there is no faculty available who fit the criteria for the Professorship, the funding will be held for awarding in subsequent years. Annual expenditures will be made in accordance with standard University policies and procedures.
