The Keegan Schmidt Memorial Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established in 2020 by Crag M. Schmidt, ’06PharmD, in memory of his son Keegan Schmidt. Keegan succumbed to complications of epilepsy and RSV before his third birthday. This scholarship shall provide an annual award of $1000 to a graduating student of pharmacy or physician assistant that has demonstrated excellence and commitment to the practice of caring for pediatric patients. The recipient(s) of the award shall be selected by the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Scholarship Committee (or its successor) with approval of the Dean of the College. The criteria used in determining the recipient shall be based upon an essay submission to the Scholarship Committee expressing the applicant’s experiences and commitment in the field of pediatrics.
