John C. Alexion & Joseph M. Keefe Memorial Fund

This fund was established in 1978 in memory of Joseph M. Keefe, through the efforts of Dr. John C. Alexion, former Dean of the Lesley H. and William L. Collins College of Professional Studies (CCPS), and the generous support of other members of the St. John’s University community. In 1992 the Joseph M. Keefe Memorial Award was combined with the John C. Alexion Memorial Fund and renamed the John C. Alexion/Joseph M. Keefe Memorial Fund. The annual military sabre award(s) will go to the ROTC cadet of the highest moral character, personal integrity, and outstanding leadership ability. After the transfer of the ROTC program from the Peter J. Tobin College of Business to the Collins College of Professional Studies the fund shall be used to support expenses deemed appropriate by the administrators of the ROTC Program or to the benefit of any student in the program regardless of their school/college. All expenses are to be approved annually by the Dean of CCPS or his/her designee.
